Morning Brief: November 14

A marathon for bookworms.

To celebrate the anniversary of Moby Dick's publication, there's going to be a Moby Dick reading marathon that kicks off tonight at 6 at the Ace Hotel New York. Participants are going to read the first 30 chapters tonight, and the next 60 chapter over the next two nights. That's some 700 pages over the course of three nights.

The Rangers fell to the Avalanche 4-3. They play again tomorrow against the Penguins in Pittsburgh.

The Islanders play the Panthers tonight at 7:30 in Florida. They're still in Florida tomorrow, playing the Lightning at 7.

The Devils are in Washington tonight to play the Capitals at 7. They're back in Jersey tomorrow to play the Avalanche at 7.

The Giants host the 49ers Sunday at 1.
