Morning Brief: November 12 2015

Just after a slew of protests that ultimately brought down two University of Missouri officials, reports of racially charged threats disseminated on social media. This included a rumor that the Ku Klux Klan had arrived on the campus. Campus police say they investigated and determined the reports was fallacious. Many of the reports came from the social media app Yik Yak, a college twitter-like app that allows people to post statuses anonymously in a five mile radius.
