Morning Brief: March 23
Going to work just got a little more expensive. The MTA's bumped single fares to $2.75, up from $2.50. And monthly passes are now $116.50, up from $112. The MTA approved the price hikes in January to help decrease their deficit. And they're not stopping at the subways. Soon, there'll also be price increases on the Metro North, LIRR and bridges and tunnels.
