Morning Brief: March 16

Happy Monday, New York City

Soccer fans here in the city are feeling pretty good--brand-new Major League Soccer team NYC FC won their first-ever home opener here in the Bronx, 2-0. And better yet for woebegone American enthusiasts of the Beautiful Game, fans filled Yankee Stadium to the brim, with estimates around 43,000 in the stands.  Perhaps the game the rest of the world refers to as "football" is finally winning over hearts and minds stateside.
