The Four newest members of the periodic table get names.  The discovery of elements 113,115, 117 and 118 complete the 7th row of the table.  To hold true to the old chemistry tradition, the discoverers of the elements had the honour of naming the elements.  The name of elements derive from the scientist's name and the geographical location of where the research took place.  [Full Story]
