Morning Brief: July 16, 2015
The world’s most iconic toy store has officially closed. FAO’s Schwarz’s flagship Manhattan store served its last customers today after more than a century in New York City, and nearly three decades at its most recent location. The store became famous for being featured in movies like 1988’s “Big,” and people from around the world came to see it before it shut its doors for good. Fans might not be completely out of luck, however; the store is reportedly looking to relocate, and might even be considering a new location on the West Side of Manhattan.
