The Feds Team Up With Elmo To Prevent Flu
A new public service announcement shows families and children good ways to avoid getting the flu this winter.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was in Harlem today with Sesame Street's Elmo to launch a new public service announcement about flu prevention.
The spot features Sebelius and Elmo explaining the importance of healthy habits.
Sebelius said she was happy to be partnering with Sesame Workshop to spread awareness:
"We are excited about the opportunity to continue our partnership with Sesame Street and the Ad Council to share vital and important tips about staying healthy during flu season like washing your hands, coughing into your sleeve or a tissue and staying home if you're sick."
The PSA is part of a campaign launched by the Health and Human Services Department last year to help Americans protect themselves against the flu.
