De Blasio's State of the City Address: What to Expect

Facing a reelection year, Mayor de Blasio will be delivering the final State of the City address of his term tonight. Here's what he plans to talk about.

One of the central issues that's faced the de Blasio administration has been solving housing inequality in New York City.

For the address tonight, De Blasio says a new housing plan is going to be a major topic of discussion.

"10,000 apartments will now reach people at lower income levels. These apartments will reach seniors who are lower income and veterans who are lower income," said De Blasio.

The mayor says he will also talk more about his proposed "mansion tax," which would tax properties worth more than $2 million dollars and put that money toward rent assistance for seniors.
