WFUV’s Nora Malone reports from St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where Cardinal Dolan led a service honoring the late Pope Francis. Black and purple ribbons hung above the entrance as people from across New York and around the world gathered to pay their respects. Isaac Ohsay from Ghana, who met Francis in 2014, shared his memories, while Linda and Ray Ryan from Dublin reflected on the Pope’s impact. Rabbi Burt Visotzky noted Francis’s appeal to non-Catholics, and New Yorker Mark Zash praised Francis’s famous words, “Who am I to judge?” Pope Francis’ funeral will be held Saturday in Rome.
