Bryant Park Unveils Luxury Bathroom Renovation
When you think of ribbon cuttings, what comes to mind? A store opening or a construction site, perhaps. But how about a bathroom?
At Bryant Park, the restrooms are known as some of the nicest in New York City, and they just got a facelift. They now feature fresh flowers and classical music. Dan Biederman is the director of the Bryant Park Corporation -- the non-profit that manages the park. He says it's all for the tourists.
"They have such a great experience in Bryant Park, and it would be terrible if it were a normal public restroom that didn't have all the great features that you want."
Another thing that makes this restroom special is the artwork created by the park's artist in residence. New Yorker Andres Rodriguez was impressed.
"It's a fancy bathroom. They're playing classical music in there. It's the fanciest bathroom I've ever been in, honestly."
The upgrades cost nearly $300,000.
