Palace at WFUV

Palace is a London-based quartet with a canny sense of all eras of rock, blues and reggae — their eclectic influences include Jeff Buckley, Otis Redding, John Martyn, and Wu Lyf. The four friends from Dorset and Brighton have known each other for years and their easy camaraderie is evident in their debut album, So Long, Forever.

The members of Palace Leo Wyndham, Rupert Turner, Will Dorey and Matt Hodges — played their first New York show this past autumn, at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade and they also visited Studio A for their first radio session in the States. They discussed their grand and mournful songs, the lucky eavesdropping break that got them their first gig, and the ongoing challenges of living as an artist in a post-Brexit London.
