Olivia Chaney at WFUV

Since releasing her first EP in 2010, this classically trained, British singer-songwriter has become one of the most celebrated new stars in folk music. In April, Olivia Chaney released her full-length debut, The Longest River, a record that showcases the best of her expressive voice and composing talents. The album’s warm and atmospheric sound is supported by piano, guitar, harmonium and cello, and works as the perfect backdrop for her original songs and unique interpretations of several other compositions.

Chaney recently talked with me about about her new album and performed some of the new songs acoustically in Studio A.
