David Gray: 2019

Gold in a Brass Age is the 11th album for David Gray and I'm guessing I've had as many interviews Gray, one of my favorite songwriters. I've been a fan of his music from the start, since the early '90s, and his new album is a beauty.

Thoughtful lyrics and precise production elements run throughout all 10 songs, recorded and conceived in his home studio. I'll talk to Gray about the making of Gold in a Brass Age, the inspiration he found in the natural world, and he'll also explain the moth on the album cover — it turns out he's a moth collector.
