One-woman-band, Emily Wells, has a melodica (and much more) in her musical spaceship. She'll explain, tonight at 9pm on Words and Music.

Though frequently described as a cross between classical and hip hop, the music of sonic-folk wild child Emily Wells, is less clashing and more strange than that—blending the DIY loops of tUnE-yArDs with the dark, quirky imagery of Jesca Hoop, and occasionally a tiny hint of Cocteau Twins (if there was only one of them). Emily's third album, Mama, is out now, and she set up her one-woman shop in Studio A to give us a taste.
