St. Lucia - FUV Live - 2014

Jean Philipe Grobler has been singing ever since he was a boy in the choir in his home of Johannesburg. His music also took him to Liverpool and he eventually came to New York City. After experimenting with a bunch of different styles, he finally found his sound a couple years ago when he released his self-titled EP. The music that came most naturally to Grobler was pop and on St. Lucia's debut album, When The Night, his songs are immediately catchy and fun. Grobler and his band recently stopped by Studio A to perform a couple of songs from When the Night.  I also got a chance to talk with Grobler about his creative process and musical journey.
