New Yorkers can report price gouging at gas stations

With prices rising at the gas pump, the Cuomo administration has established a toll-free telephone line and website where New Yorkers can report suspected price gouging at gas stations.

The Division of Consumer Protection's "gas pricing hotline" is at 800-214-4372.   Its online consumer complaint form is located at the division's website. Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture and Markets' Bureau of Weights and Measures says it will work with municipalities to inspect gas stations across the state to assure measurement accuracy.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo says it's their responsibility to ensure New Yorkers "are not getting taken advantage of."
