This week "Sunday Supper" presents a double birthday bonanza. Monday is Bruce Springsteen's 75th birthday. He celebrated last Sunday with a full-tilt concert, as usual, at the See.Hear.Now Festival on his old turf in Asbury Park. I'll have a musical tour of some of the cities, including Asbury Park, in the Boss's catalogue.

Meanwhile, Saturday was the 90th anniversary of Leonard Cohen's birth. Singer, songwriter, poet, ladies man, spiritual explorer, eternal sage — we'll let his timeless songs, by Cohen himself and others, speak to us.

I'll also have new music to savor from Amy Helm, Eugene Ruffolo, Laura Marling, David Berkeley, Heather Pierson, and Samantha Joy.

Cut the cake and dig the music between 4:00-6:00 p.m. EDT at 90.7 FM and streaming online, plus on-demand in the Archives, on the WFUV app, or the hero-worshipping smart speaker of your choice.
