Forget crowded planes and long lines. A campaign to improve metro New York City airports will start with the bathrooms.
The issue was discussed Wednesday by the executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Patrick Foye said his agency is on the verge of announcing a 90-day improvement plan. Among other things, it will include cleaner restrooms and more customer service representatives.
Foye said that within the next two years, he wants to get the region's travel hubs off the Frommers.com list of the world's 10 worst airport terminals.
In January, the site selected one terminal from each of the area's three major airports for the list. The only other American city to be selected was Chicago.
