Five years ago today, Joe Jackson released his album, Fast Forward. About a week before that, he brought his incredible band — bassist and vocalist Graham Maby, guitarist and vocalist Teddy Kumpel, and drummer Doug Yowell — to The Cutting Room for an FUV Live performance.
We normally limit these shows to an hour, but this one went as long as Joe wanted. A crowd of WFUV Marquee Members and I happily soaked up songs from across his essential catalog, and today, you'll get to hear the whole set in in a special edition of "Marquee Noon."
