Clearwater Artist of the Day: The Lone Bellow

The Lone Bellow are sure to fill Clearwater to the brim with heart and soul at their main stage performance this weekend. Brooklyn-based Zach Williams, Brian Elmquist and Kanene Pipkin have become national stars and are touring in support of their fine second album, Then Came the Morning.

WFUV was the very first station to play The Lone Bellow and I was happy to have the chance to talk about The Lone Bellow for a 2013 New York Times profile of the band. It will be great to welcome them home with this area appearance.

Fans of The Lone Bellow know that they really shine in live performance—riffing off the crowd and each other and always bringing fresh energy to the set. We've been loving the new album, especially the Elvis-inspired title track.

Zach, Kanene and Brian are friends who clearly love what they're doing on stage and we're so happy that they're part of this year's Clearwater Festival.
