Conor Oberst: FUV Live
The prolific Conor Oberst has a collection of bands: Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos and Monsters of Folk. He’s also put out several albums as a solo artist. His sixth solo album, Upside Down Mountain, is FUV's New Dig this week.
Of the recent album, Oberst says: “For me, language is a huge part of why I make music. I’m not the greatest guitar player or piano player. I’m not the greatest singer either, but I feel if I can come up with melodies I like that are fused with poetry I’m proud of, then that’s what I bring to the table.”
Below, watch videos of Conor Oberst when he recently visited Studio A and listen to the entire session in the FUV Vault now or on 90.7FM tonight, May 20, at 9p.m. EDT, also streaming online.
