The first Giants-Jets game. August 17, 1969...Yale Bowl, New Haven, CT.

The Jets were coming off a Super Bowl victory and needed to prove their victory over Baltimore wasn't a fluke. The two teams and the two leagues did not like each other...and that's putting it nicely.

Big Blue’s Defense Has Great Potential

The Giants defense is a unit that may have gotten overlooked at times last season due to the astounding number of turnovers on the opposite side of the ball. However, the defense got better as the year went on and ended the season on a high note, surrendering only six points to the Redskins in a season finale win. While the season as a whole was a disappointment, players on the defense are looking to improve from last year’s effort to make this year’s group one that will send shockwaves throughout the league.

Chris Snee Announces His Retirement

The day before the Giants held their first practice of Training Camp in 2014, the team was hit with some somber news. Starting right guard Chris Snee has decided to retire after playing all of his ten seasons with the New York Giants.

For the first time in the Jerry Reese era, there’s a free agent frenzy in New York. The cash-strapped Giants cleared enough cap space to improve the offensive line, pluck one of the top free agents on the market from Denver, and totally revamp their secondary and return game. For Giants fans, this isn’t the norm.

Legendary Giants center Shaun O'Hara may not be participating in this year's Super Bowl, but he's still enjoying spending the week in New York. O'Hara, a Super Bowl champion himself with the New York Giants, gave his inside look into what the week is like for a player. 

O'Hara retired after the 2010 Super Bowl, but he still has his passion for the game. WFUV Sports' Nick Logerfo caught up with the center at Media Day earlier this week.
