Postgame Report: Manhattan 81 Fordham 47

by Andrew O'Connell

The word “battle” connotes a brawl, a back-and-forth affair between two evenly matched teams in a struggle for supremacy. By this definition, the Battle of the Bronx failed to live up to its namesake as the Manhattan Jaspers trounced Fordham 81-47 in Draddy Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

George Beamon of Manhattan led all scorers with 15 points on 5-9 shooting, including a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc. Beamon was one of five Jaspers to reach double figures in scoring.
