In the final edition of Monday Night Quarterback 2012, Rams head coach Joe Moorhead talks about the key plays in the season finale against Colgate. He also reflects on his first season as head coach and the furture of Fordham Football.
Things didn’t look good after 7 minutes and 11 seconds. Fordham (6-4) was down 10-0, and were missing their top defensive performer in Mike Martin. Fordham would not be denied this afternoon at Jack Coffey Field, coming away with a 36-27 victory over the Lafayette Leopards (5-5).
On this edition of Monday Night Quarterback, coach Moorhead evaluates his team's performance thus far in his first year as a head coach. He talks about what the team has done over the bye week to prepare for Holy Cross. Fordham broadcasters Alex Smith, Mike Watts and DJ Sixsmith offer their insight on the first seven games Fordham Rams season.
After suffering its first loss of the year, Fordham got back on track with a 34-27-homecoming victory over the Cornell Big Red. The Rams trailed 7-6 before their second half offensive explosion.
What started as a two man showdown appears to have become a three-way race for the Fordham starting quarterback position. Part-time 2010 starter Ryan Higgins and Griffin Murphy, who missed all of last season due to injury, came into camp vying for the job but found company in the form of Freshman Peter Maetzold, a Houston area product out of Friendswood HS.
