Something Sort of Grandish

The Yankees welcomed back Curtis Granderson this week from a fractured forearm suffered when he was hit by a pitch in spring training. The 32 year-old has been a mainstay as the starting center fielder in New York since arriving in 2010. He’s hit over 40 home runs in each of the past two seasons, transforming himself from a speedster who knows how to get on base into a power hitting machine.

An Angel in Queens

by Matt Sinise

Jorge Muñoz lives in a small two-story house in Queens with his mother and sister. A Colombian immigrant, he has always had to work hard to support himself and his family, and he has been jobless since December of last year. While most people would be desperate to find a job for himself, Jorge continues to give to others first. Since 2004, he has served dinners to up to 140 people in need a day.
