Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and Denver Broncos head coach John Fox addressed the media on Friday morning as part of a joint press conference in Manhattan.

Carroll said, “We’re really proud to be here, representing our football team and all the people that made this happen.”  The 12th Man fans in Seattle are delighted to hear those words from Coach Carroll, but they all know one more football game needs to be won before they can really celebrate.

Coach Carroll also complimented Coach Fox and the Broncos offense saying, “We would like to have your points. If we had those points, our defense could play pretty well.”  That top ranked Seattle defense is in for a handful dealing with the top ranked offense in the Broncos.  However, if one unit can stop them, it’s the Legion of Boom.

The Seahawks would love to win the Super Bowl and hoist the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday night.  Carroll knows the trophy “symbolizes the ultimate challenge of competitiveness in our sport and our world of coaching and playing.”  Seattle is probably dreaming of kissing that trophy after the game, knowing they are Super Bowl Champions.
