Manning says he's proud of the "ducks."

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman published an article four weeks ago, calling Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning one of the smartest quarterbacks of all-time. But Sherman also had some criticism for the thirteen time Pro Bowl quarterback.

The cornerback wrote that Manning throws “ducks.” Sherman stood by the critique Wednesday when questioned by the media, once again criticizing Manning’s arm strength.

The Broncos quarterback responded to Sherman Thursday in Jersey City.

“I believe it to be true as well,” Manning said sarcastically. “I do throw ‘ducks,’ I’ve thrown a lot of yards and touchdowns ‘ducks,’ and I’m actually quite proud of it.”

The Denver quarterback also called Sherman one of the smartest guys in the league, which prompted laughter from reporters.

The back-and-forth between Peyton Manning and Richard Sherman adds some spice to an already spicy Super Bowl XLVII.

The Broncos quarterback and future hall of famer comes off as the good guy, while Sherman continues to play the role of a villain. On Sunday, football fans will find out if the Seattle cornerback can get his hands on one of those “ducks.”
