Owner Mikhail Prokhorov surprises newest Nets

An emotional Paul Pierce, giddy Kevin Garnett, and somewhere-in-the-middle Jason Terry faced the New York media today as they were welcomed in as the newest members of the Brooklyn Nets.

Head Coach Jason Kidd, GM Billy King, and Owner Mikhail Prokhorov were all at the Barclays Center to personally greet the trio, who came over from Boston in a blockbuster deal that was made official six days ago.

Throughout the press conference, as he noted, Pierce came to accept the fact he was a Brooklyn Net more and more . By the time he was ready for his aside with the media, he sounded excited as ever to start the newest chapter in his 15-year career that began with the Celtics.

"I'm liking what I feel right now," Pierce said.

A slew of other notable words were said of the team's new makeup; Jason Kidd discussed minutes distribution, King spoke on the process of acquiring KG, Pierce, and Terry, and Prokhorov compared Jason Kidd to Tom Cruise in 'Top Gun'.
