WFUV's Fourth Annual Gala

by James Passarelli

WFUV celebrates its Fourth Annual Gala

The Fourth Annual WFUV Gala is on Monday night.  Taking home the Sound & Vision Award will be legendary rock band Los Lobos, and the Charles Osgood Lifetime Achievement Award in Broadcast Journalism will go to Tom Brokaw.  More importantly for our purposes, however, is the winner of the Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Broadcasting.

This year's winner is Pat Summerall.  Below we have an interview with Vin Scully from Saturday's One on One show, in which he discusses Summerall's accomplishments.

For Joe Tordy's "Pat Summerall: Less is More" piece, click here.

Also below is "Ernie Harwell - Our Friend in the Booth," on last year's Vin Scully Award winner.

Head on over to to hear "Voice of Heavens," the piece on Scully, the first winner of his eponymous award.
