New Jersey lawmakers are considering a bill that would require employers in the state to offer workers paid sick leave - a requirement that's been gaining some momentum.

The Assembly labor committee heard from labor and trade associations that support the concept Thursday, employers' organizations who support making changes to it and some opposed entirely.

Workers would be entitled to one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours they work under the proposal. They could accrue up to 40 hours - or five days for full-time employees.
