Over the past two months, the Occupy movement has attracted thousands of followers across the Big Apple. And proof of that could be seen in their Day of Action rallies, where protesters took to the streets to spread a message about economic inequality.

Bronx Clinics Could Lose Medicaid Funding

A network of health clinics in the Bronx founded by embattled former state senate majority leader Pedro Espada, could be headed for shut down.  Soundview HealthCare Network could reportedly lose millions in Medicaid funding as the state investigates its finances.

New York City Flunks Air Quality Report

Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx all get “F’s,” but the American Lung Association’s report still says air quality is improving in the Big Apple.

New York City’s air ranks amongst the dirtiest in the United States. According to the American Lung Association’s annual State of the Air report, the five boroughs have the worst air in state, with the Bronx representing the most dangerous levels of pollutants statewide.
