Strong winds may keep big balloons of Macy's parade grounded.

According to parade rules, if the wind blows 23 mph and gusts reach 34 mph, the large character balloons of Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day Parade must be grounded and excluded from the parade. On Thursday, wind speed is expected to reach 23 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, according to the National Weather Service. [New York Times]
