Christine Quinn has been leading the Democratic pack when it comes to total dollars raised.

The presumptive contenders for the 2013 New York City mayoral race are starting to release their fundraising numbers for the six-month filing period that ended this week.

Public Advocate Bill de Blasio's campaign announced Friday on Twitter that he had raised more than $800,000 in the six months that ended Wednesday. A campaign consultant for New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn says she raised about $700,000 in the six-month filing period that ended this week. Other possible contenders haven't yet released their numbers.

Quinn campaign consultant Josh Isay says she has about $5 million cash on hand. Quinn has been leading the Democratic pack when it comes to total dollars raised. Based on last period's numbers, de Blasio can't have much more than $2.36 million on hand.
