Isabella and Jayden top the list.

Mayor Bloomberg Wednesday announced New York City's top baby names.

Isabella and Jayden are continuing their reign as the most popular names for babies in New York City.

The latest top 10 name list covers some 123,029 infants born citywide last year. Isabella has been the most popular girls' name and Jayden the top boys' name for three years.  But, Mayor Bloomberg was especially interested in another name on the list.

"I am glad to see from a personal basis that Michael, a fine name, moved up a couple of notches."  Michael is now number 5, up from 7 in 2010.  You can check out the complete list of baby names here.

Mayor Bloomberg also announced that life expectancy for babies born in New York City is two-and-a-half years longer than the national average.
