Colorful Hua Mei Birds show off in Chinatown.

We all expect to see pigeons in city parks.  So you can imagine the surprise when passersby encounter exotic songbirds at a garden in Manhattan's Chinatown.

Every morning, rain or shine, Chinese immigrants show of their pets, so-called Hua Mei Birds, in a section of Sara Delano Roosevelt Park.  We visited the garden on a Saturday morning.
