Architects have come up with spectacular concepts for vertical farms that would grow crops in city skyscrapers. But many horticulturists think the future of vertical farming isn't in skyscrapers but rather, in large, indoor warehouses lit up magenta by super-efficient LEDs.

Limited Train Service to Resume Tuesday Afternoon, M.T.A. Says

One of the two damaged train tracks near Fairfield, Conn. has been rebuilt and train service will resume earlier than previously expected, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said Tuesday.

Metro-North Railroad service will resume from New York City to New Haven in time for Tuesday's evening commute. The first train to go to New Haven will leave Grand Central Terminal at 3:07 p.m. The first train to leave New Haven and go to Grand Central Terminal will leave at 4:23 p.m.
