Morning Brief: December 10

50 years of change?

Today, in 1964, Martin Luther King, Jr. received his Nobel Peace Prize. He accepted it with "with an abiding faith in America and an audacious faith in the future of mankind." It's been exactly 50 years since then, but there are those who argue that not much has changed since then in light of recent police shootings and their subsequent protests, like in Ferguson and over the Eric Garner case. What are the strides you think the country has taken to equality in the last 50 years?
