Morning Brief: September 16

New efforts against Ebola.

President Obama is going to announce new American support for Ebola victims in West Africa today. The outbreak started in March and has infected close to 4,000 people. The CDC says it's the largest Ebola outbreak in history. Obama's been under pressure to do more to help in light of the epidemic, so he's expected to offer help building 17 new treatment centers with 1,700 new beds in Liberia. He's also expected to send 3,000 troops to respond to the crisis, as well as more doctors, health care workers and hundreds of thousands of home heath and treatment kits.
