Blumenthal says he wants the "nuts and bolts data" that support figures.

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal says he's unsatisfied with the amount of information released about wait times at Veterans Affairs facilities, including the West Haven hospital.

Data released Monday show 98 percent of 49,129 appointments at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System's West Haven campus have been scheduled in 30 days or less. Most of those appointments have been scheduled within 14 days.

But Blumenthal said he wants the "nuts and bolts data" that support those figures. Blumenthal contends no interviews were conducted in West Haven and questions how the data were compiled.

The audit information released Monday shows 2,120 people waiting 15 to 30 days; 677 waiting 31 to 60 days; 166 waiting 61 to 90 days; 111 waiting 91 to 120 days; and 44 waiting more than 120 days.
