The Rockettes Have Another Reason To Kick-Up Their High Heels

Madame Tussauds honors legendary dancers.

They're famous for their perfect high-kick while standing in a horizontal line. This year the Rockettes have a reason to kick even higher.

'Tis the year to celebrate The Rockettes eighty-fifth anniversary performing in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. To honor the legendary dancers, Madame Tussauds wax museum in Times Square is now featuring a 1990 vintage-holiday costume on a wax figure of a Rockette. Real Life Rockette Elissa LaVergne was on hand for the unveiling. She says it's an honor to be part of the dance troupe.

The Rockettes are not new to Madame Tussauds. The museum has featured wax figures of the dancers since 2005. Museum goer Fredy Menezes says the exhibit had his girlfriend fooled. Menezes says after seeing the wax figures, he now wants to to see the real thing at Radio City.
