Morning Brief: May 13

Happy Friday the 13th! It's the only one we're getting this year. It's hard to pinpoint exactly where the superstition begin. One theory about why 13 is unlucky is because their were 13 people at Jesus' table for the last supper. Another has to do with Norse mythology, when 12 gods were meant to have dinner in Valhalla, but then a 13th member, Loki, crashed the party and killed another god. Combine that bad luck with other myths surrounding Friday being unlucky and we get the least lucky day of the year. So for the superstitious out there, be sure to try and keep that bad luck at bay when you're out and about.
