Since the new Corinne Bailey Rae album is soft, warm and comfortable, I want to wrap myself up in it like a blanket! The Heart Speaks In Whispers is her third full-length album in a decade by the Leeds-born Rae, and it's nothing if not gorgeous.

On a stage crowded with gear at the intimate Lower East Side venue Rockwood Music Hall, she spoke about themes of nature on the album, the cyclical nature of life, and the spring-like hope, possibility, and rebirth that imbues her songs. She also reached into her catalog for some stone classics while fronting an outstanding band, which includes her producer and husband Steve Brown on keys.

Enjoy this FUV Live session taken from one of the most memorable and thrilling Marquee shows that I've been fortunate enough to attend: Corinne Bailey Rae from the Rockwood Music Hall.
