Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight" for February 15

Maggie Estep

On "Idiot's Delight"® tonight at 8, Vin Scelsa honors slam poet and novelist Maggie Estep, who passed away on February 12 at the far-too-young age of 50 after suffering a heart attack two days earlier. "I remember playing Maggie Estep back in the '90s," writes Vin. "There has been too much death all around us in the winter of 2014, but at least people such as Sid Caesar, Shirley Temple Black, Ralph Waite and Pete Seeger all lived long productive lives. When people age 50 and younger like Maggie Estep and Philip Seymour Hoffman die, it is so much harder to fathom."

That's Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight"®, Saturdays from 8-10 p.m. on 90.7FM, also streaming online.

If you miss tonight's show, you can find "Idiot's Delight"® in the FUV archives for two weeks after broadcast.
