UKNY On FUV For August 24

Saturday nights at 11, UKNY will bring you new releases and older discoveries from emerging and established British bands. On tonight's show, a duo far more elusive and reclusive than Daft Punk, Scotland's Boards of Canada, plus music from Jon Hopkins with Purity Ring, Traams, Peace, Gruff Rhys, Hannah Rodgers and more.

The Commonwealth Cut heads north to Toronto for Diana and since Scottish chanteuse Emeli Sandé is coming to town on August 28 for a show at Central Park's Rumsey Playfield, we'll hear her bold collaboration with Underworld's Rick Smith.

Join me for UKNY Saturday nights at 11 following Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight"® and Marshall Crenshaw's "The Bottomless Pit" on 90.7 WFUV, also streaming online.

Out too late or sound asleep by 11 p.m.? You can find UKNY in the FUV archives for two weeks after broadcast.
