UKNY On FUV For April 19

by Kara Manning
Blur (from 'Parklife')

This Friday, April 25, marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Blur's Parklife, the album that truly heralded the arrival of Britpop. This past Wednesday, Blur frontman and solo artist Damon Albarn, who releases Everyday Robots on April 29, visited WFUV for an intimate session (which airs on May 5). So, tonight on UKNY at 11, expect a generous helping of Damon Albarn tracks as well as thoughtful new music from emerging artists like Aquilo, Throwing Snow, Bernard + Edith, Vancouver Sleep Clinic and more.

Please join me on UKNY, Saturday nights at 11p.m. EST, following Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight"® and Marshall Crenshaw's "The Bottomless Pit" on 90.7 WFUV, also streaming online.

Missed the show? You can find UKNY in the FUV archives up to two weeks after broadcast.
