The Report From The Alternate Side for February 6th

by Russ Borris

Every Wednesday afternoon around 3:45, Russ Borris joins Dennis Elsas with an update from The Alternate Side!

My Bloody Valentine released their hugely influential second album Loveless back in 1991. For years, though, things were pretty quiet.  In 2007, Frontman Kevin Shields announced that the band had reformed and would begin work on new music. Many took a "I'll believe it when I see (or hear) it" stance, myself included.

Late last year, the rumors of a new album got stronger.  Fast forward to last Saturday night when the band announced that their new album m b v would be avalable later that night.  This was met with error messages and server crashes.

They broke the interent.

OK, not really, but this was a big deal and fans treated it as such.  m b v is available now here and you can check out a song this afternoon around 3:45 on The Report From The Alternate Side!
