New U.K. band alt-j takes their name from the keyboard shortcut for a triangle on a Mac. It's a relativity simple explanation for a band that is anything but simple. Having just played two sold out shows this week in NY, the band's debut album An Awesome Wave is set to be released in the U.S. in September. It's an ambitious mix of interesting lyrics, hip hop beats, folk sensibility and tight harmonies.
