Question of the Day: Put Those Records On!

History lesson! Today marks the 135th anniversary of Thomas Edison's patent on the phonograph. Thanks for that, Mr. Edison, and for providing the basis for the phonograph's more sophisticated brother: the record player! We owe you all of our sweet, vinyl memories of years past. To celebrate, we're playing songs about records. Got a favorite? Leave it in the comments below!

Want to know what we played? Here's the list:

1. "Record Lady" - Lyle Lovett

2. "Having a Party" - Sam Cooke

3. "Put Your Records On" - Corinne Bailey Rae

4. "Vinyl Records" - Todd Snider
