Today at noon WFUV airs Elvis Costello & The Roots' concert from last night at Brooklyn Bowl. As they performed songs from their new album Wise Up Ghost, the sounds of bowling balls and crashing pins could be heard. Brooklyn Bowl, which hosts hosts concerts on a regular basis, may not be the oddest venue to hear music. But what are some of the more out-of-the-ordinary sites you've heard of? We'll spin a set of folks who've played there. Leave the names and places in the comments below.
Here's what we played:
Johnny Cash "Folsom Prison Blues" (Folsom Prison)
Old Crow Medicine Show "Wagon Wheel" (Cumberland Caverns)
Levon Helm "When I Go Away" (Ommegang Brewery)
Jimi Hendrix "Angel" (Hakaluka Crater, Maui)
