What matters to you when you dine out? The food and the service probably top the list. But what about the music that's played? Sometimes it can be grating, or in other cases merely wallpaper. The best is when the food and the music are both great and they go together. That's the case at Bob White which serves food in the "spirit and soul of Southern cooking." The last time I was there I heard everyone from Bo Diddley to Patsy Cline to The Grateful Dead to The Black Keys. Do you have a favorite dining spot with a good music mix? Share it in the comments below along with a typical track. We'll spin a set this morning.
Here's what we played:
Frank Sinatra "You Make Me Feel So Young" from Boves in Burlington, VT
Diana Ross & the Supremes "Back in My Arms Again" from Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Harlem
Creedence Clearwater Revival "Born on the Bayou" from The Bayou in Fleetwood
The Raconteurs "Top Yourself" from Babbo in Manhattan
